This bill has been substituted and will now simply require the Division of Air Quality (DAQ) to do a Best Available Control Technology (BACT) plan for sources of halogen emisisons, and requires DAQ to submit an annual report to the Natural Resources Interim Committee.
Original bill: This bill addresses major sources of halogen emissions and requires the Division of Air Quality to submit an annual halogen emissions report to the Natural Resouces interim committee. It also requires a major source of halogen emissions to adopt control technologies (chlorine bypass scrubbers and chlorine reduction burners).
