Mamta Chaudhari currently works at Salt Lake County Health Department as an Environmental Health Scientist in the Air Quality bureau. She received her Master of Public Health degree from The George Washington University focused on Environmental Health Science and Policy and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Westminster University. She grew up in Vernal and now calls Salt Lake City home. Mamta is also a member of Utah Environmental Health Association, the Utah chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, and the Utah Public Employees Association.
Mamta has supported health equity initiatives by serving on an advisory committee to train all health department employees as part of the department’s strategic planning. She also led strategic planning work groups around workforce satisfaction. She is currently leading a working group to write a climate change resiliency plan and to promote and facilitate climate change education.
Mamta sees an air quality future focused on social equity and justice with climate change solutions and adaptation at the forefront.
