Erin Mendenhall

Erin is a graduate of the University of Utah with a B.S. in Gender Studies and a certificate in Non Profit Leadership and Management from the University of Utah's Non Profit Academy for Excellence. Sandra Steingraber's book, Living Downstream, initially piqued Erin's interest in humankind's relationship with chemical contamination of our planet and led her to following regional EPA superfund sites and the social relationship with that designation. Erin is happy to be a part of Breathe Utah, creating partnerships with state and local agencies, schools, and other nonprofits to improve the air we breathe through programs, policy, and education. She has served for ive years representing Salt Lake City’s District 5 on the City Council, and serves as an appointee to the State Quality Growth Commission, the Transportation Committee for Wasatch Front Regional Council, and is Chair of the Air Quality Board.
